Message From Ms. Riddle
Hello Lion Families!
What an amazing week of learning and fun from start to finish! We kicked off the week with two days of cheer camp and a visit from the Beloit Fire Department. Mid week high school took a visit to Blackhawk Technical College and the Welty Environmental Center. We wrapped up the week with a fantastic elementary Literacy Night and a very energetic whole school Fall Fest!

Awesome Academics
Quarter 1 has just come to a close! Scholars and teachers are now grounded in routines and curriculum, and are ready to take flight in Quarter Two.
Interim assessments took place this week throughout elementary school. Teachers will use this data to inform them on which standards need more focus during the weeks ahead as we push towards overall standards mastery. These will continue into next week.
A special academic shout out to the first grade with over 70% of scholars scoring a 3 or 4 on their math mid module assessment!

Career Chat with Mrs. Benisch
This week, we continued to learn about Manufacturing. Middle school scholars visited Stainless Tank and Equipment. During the visit, they learned about the manufacturing process, careers, and toured the facility. Seeing the whole process and how busy the company is was amazing.
High school scholars attended Manufacturing Day at Blackhawk Technical College’s Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Milton. Scholars toured the campus and learned about the different training programs offered. Scholars also had time to network with manufacturing companies from all over the county.
Scholars in K4-3 learned about fire safety and had the opportunity to check out the fire truck. Scholars were encouraged to go home and ensure they had a working fire alarm and develop an evacuation plan. Please contact the school if you do not have a working fire alarm.
