Grade 7 Orientation Night Next Wednesday!

Next week is our grade 7 orientation night for parents. We look forward to connecting with families and students from the Class of 2028 on the 22nd, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Plan for a couple of hours, as we will spend time introducing our programs, student organizations, athletics, and programmatic offerings. There will be time for questions with school counselors, administration, and department leaders, and we will outline what grade 8 will look like for students as they transition from Whitin. We look forward to seeing you!

Grade 8 Visits Whitin

We had the opportunity to visit Whitin this week with some members of our eighth grade, who answered questions for grade 7 students in advance of transitioning to the high school next year. We have a couple more of these planned over the course of the year and are grateful to the Class of 2027 for their insights in helping things be even more smooth for the upcoming class!

Student Course Input Next Week

Students in grades 8-11 will take the next step of choosing courses for next year, as they will be inputting courses for the 2023-24 school year. Questions can be directed to school counselors.

For students in Ms. Smith's caseload, her maternity leave started this week. Her substitute, Ms. Cindy Nelson, will begin on March 27. In the interim, scheduling-related questions can be directed to Mr. Rubin, Mr. Bertrand, Ms. Toto, or Mr. Coppolino.

Grease Takes the Stage!

The Uxbridge High School Drama Club will present GREASE: SCHOOL VERSION Book, Music and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. Performance dates are Friday, March 17, and Saturday, March 18, at 7:00PM and Sunday March 19 at 2:00PM in the Uxbridge High School Auditorium. “Grease: School Version” is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company. www.concordtheatricals.com

Grease is a turbo-fueled nostalgic musical road trip through the joys, relationships, and dances -- literally and emotionally -- of the students of Rydell High in 1959. Come share the excitement of new love, shiny cars, future dreams, and best friendships as “We Go Together” from those “Summer Nights” “Hopelessly Devoted to You”. and so much more! We go together is absolutely right as the UHS Drama Club has a cast and crew sixty members strong! They are directed by Mrs. Kathleen Penza and Ms. Mary Mangnall, with a great deal of assistance from Ms. Sue Hirtle. The production is also collaborative effort between several departments at Uxbridge High School including Performing Arts, Visual Arts/Graphic Design, and Technology and Construction. The annual musical is truly a school-wide effort!

Contact the Uxbridge High School office to reserve tickets. Tickets are free but required for admission. They will be available to the public starting March 6.
