News and Information
If you have not turned in your family turkey please do so by Tuesday. I want everyone to have one in the hallway for Grandparent's Day.
Grandparent's Day Info -Please pass along to grandparents!!!
My class will have grandparent's day on Friday, November 8 from 9:00-10:00.
- We will be presenting a reader’s theater, viewing their grandparent Google Slide presentations, touring our classroom and visiting the book fair.
- Please let grandparent’s know that they should not arrive until after 9:50 so that the previous group of grandparents are out of the parking lot and parking spaces are available.
- Grandparents should report to the cafeteria and we will meet them there at 9:00.
- A friendly reminder that we are not able to accommodate grandparents for lunch on that day. We welcome them to eat with us at another time.
- If your child’s grandparents are unable to attend, they may invite a special guest in their place: aunt or uncle, friend or a parent. We would like for every child to have at least 1 guest on Friday.
Parent Teacher Conferences
See the link below for the schedule. A paper reminder will be sent home with your child the week of your conference.

Your child will not have homework this year unless:
1. They are absent and make up work for the day will be sent home.
2. They are falling behind on Rocket Math facts, at which time I will send a letter to inform you there will be homework until they catch up and/ or meet the expected level.
Reading
We focused on fluency this week and highlighted the area coming to a full stop and taking a breath when you see an ending punctuation mark while reading. We also continue to work on comprehension, vocabulary, and decoding.
Math
We spent all week subtracting with 2 digit numbers. We will be using those same addition strategies to help us subtract.
