Worthingway Middle School Updates
Thank you for a fantastic school year! I will miss our 8th grade class. They made our school a better place and they will continue to make a positive impact at WKHS and TWHS. I look forward to welcoming our incoming 8th grade class. They will be strong leaders and help us welcome our new 6th and 7th grade classes.
I have included important dates below to help you with summer planning. There is also a link below regarding Fall sports. The athletic area of the website changes frequently over the summer, so I recommend you check back often. If you have any questions about athletics, please contact Mr. Mosca (email@example.com). I have also included the calendar for next school year for your reference. Families will receive a summer mailing the last week of July that will include school picture forms, athletic information, school supply list (also below), free and reduced meals forms, etc.
I am eager to get back to normal next school year and welcome your student(s) to Worthingway. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at (614) 450-4300.
Lockers and Locks
Students should plan on going to their lockers in the morning, before and after lunch, and at the end of the day in order to avoid carrying all of their items for the entire day. This also allows students to store book bags in lockers.
Students will also be asked to keep cell phones in lockers during classes. This allows us to build stronger connections with our students. Every classroom is equipped with a phone, so students are always able to be reached during the day as needed.
Monday 8/9: Registration Day (and school pictures)
8/10 and 8/11: TWHS Registration Days
8/10 and 8/12: WKHS Registration Days (8/12 is tentative at this time)
Wednesday 8/11: 6th and 7th grade WEB Day
Wednesday 8/18: First Day of Classes for all students
Immunization Updates from your School Nurse:
We have just received information that Columbus Public Health Immunization Clinic will be reopening as of Monday May 10, 2021 for routine childhood immunizations.
Please visit https://www.columbus.gov/publichealth/programs/immunization-program/ for information on hours of operation. Many current 7th grade students remain noncompliant for Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines. Please use this summer to update your student's important and state-required immunizations. Worthington Schools will be reimplementing exclusion in the 2021-2022 school year for students who are not up to date with their shots. Please contact our School Nurse, Joyce Casey, if you have any questions regarding your student's immunizations. firstname.lastname@example.org or 614-450-4315.
Worthington Kilbourne High School Athletic and Co-Curricular Updates
In years past, we have had the opportunity to host our current 8th grade students to introduce them to all of the athletic and co-curricular opportunities at Worthington Kilbourne High School. Unfortunately, we were not able to hold the event this year, but we still want to ensure we are able to communicate all of our offerings. This is our virtual edition of the 8th Grade Activity Fair. I would encourage you to click on the following link, view our options, and sign up for the sports/activities you might be interested in participating in during high school. This will allow our coaches and advisors to contact you and share upcoming functions.
In addition, here is a contact list of all of our Coaches and Advisors at Worthington Kilbourne High School:
Worthington Kilbourne High school Summer Sports Camps
A number of our sports teams at WKHS are holding a developmental skills camp for this summer for middle school aged students. If you are interested in attending a camp, please click on the link and register.

Ever wonder if driving all around town to get the most affordable school supplies for your middle school student is worth the time, energy, and gas? Well wonder no more! Worthingway’s PTA has partnered with 1st Day School Supplies to make purchasing your students school supplies affordable and convenient. This is not a fundraiser. The PTA has opted for the lowest purchase price to pass on the savings to the families.
