Bulldog Activities Report
2.14.22 to 2.20.22 (NSAA Week # 33)
Bulldog Rundown
Good Morning Bulldog Nation!!!
As I write this out today, we are only ONE week away from state wrestling, TWO weeks away from state swim and dive, and THREE weeks away from state basketball and the start of spring sports.
It has been an EXCITING ride this entire school year with so many different things to celebrate here at the high school! However, the even more exciting fact is that many of our Bulldog activities STILL have the opportunity to do some AMAZING things as we wrap up the winter season and head into the spring season.
May we all continue to WORK HARD in the pursuit of the goals set before us and ENJOY/CELEBRATE all the POSITIVE moments along the way!
FOUR BULLDOG FUNDAMENTALS
HARD WORK: Continue to press on as we come to the last quarter of the winter activities season!!! Let us all make sure we are making each moment at practices and competitions count and getting the most out of those opportunities! For those involved in a spring activity, now is the time to be gearing yourself up and getting ready for the competitive season ahead.
DETAILS/ORGANIZATION: Continue to have a plan in place for everything you do within your program. It is never too late within the course of a season to do some self-evaluation within the program to see where there could be potential areas for growth down the stretch! If you are involved in a spring activity, now is the time to make sure all the details are accounted for and that you are ready to communicate those out to your stakeholders!
COMMUNICATION: Have a plan in place to continue to communicate at a high level with all stake holders in your program. As you wind down your winter seasons, have a plan in place to get feedback from those stakeholders. The feedback from players and others around your programs can provide some great areas for growth the following season. Additionally, for the spring activities that are about to start, make sure you are making time to meet with your coaches/sponsors, students, and parents to clearly communicate expectations/rules/schedules for your respective activities.
FOCUS ON PROCESS: As we transition to the last quarter of the winter activities season, we should start to see a better picture of where athletes are at and what the trajectory towards the post season is going to be looking like. Continue to invest in all the dimensions of the students you are involved with and finish the season on a strong note on and off the field of competition!
