Mr. B's Bright Lights
Looking to Learn at Every Turn
Do you have the 21st on your calendar?
Please make sure that you have Friday, February 21st, on your calendar. This is the day that the district decided to provide school for the kids due to all of the snow days. Thanks for keeping this in front of you and your families.
The Assembly was Alive!!!
This past Wednesday, our school community got together to kick-off one of our most popular events of the year. The Jump Rope For Heart preparation has begun in our physical education classes with Mrs. Monson and Ms. Luberda. The kids have been learning to jump rope and build their heart muscles. The assembly welcomed Mrs. Flanagan, from the American Heart Association, as she showed off the incentives for the fundraising efforts. The kids began the assembly with a terrific dance number directed by our phy ed teachers-it was AWESOME! The kids were absolutely fabulous-you would have been very proud. Please check out the pictures below for a taste of the excitement! Thanks for all of your support!
Zero the Hero Visits the 5k on 100th Day
What a surprise for the kids in 5K this past Wednesday! Celebrating the big day where zeroes become more important than ever. All of the 5K students gathered in Mrs. Shannon's room to hear a story about 100's from "Zero" and it was fun for everyone! We all made the shape of a big zero to start the fun! There were many examples of how many 100 objects really are-lots of creativity and thanks to the families for the wonderful participation in the project.
Trivia Night Plans
Please take a look to see if you can join the fun at Ironwood Golf Course Clubhouse for the 2nd annual Trivia Night to support the Science-Technology-Engineering-Math (STEM) program in our Intermediate School. This is an exciting new step for our district and equipping the STEM lab takes some special resources so the students have the materials they need to explore, discover, and progress in this area of education. Thanks for joining us Friday, Feb. 28th, at 6:00 PM.
