Horizon Receives Education Foundation Grant
I'm excited to announce that this past Tuesday, Horizon was the recipient of a USD 232 Foundation Grant! This money will help with reading resources to address dyslexia and reading recovery in phonics and phonemic awareness for all grade levels!
Crutchfield's Corner
Dear Horizon Families,
We've had a tremendous start to the school year and it's hard to believe that parent-teacher conferences are right around the corner! Soon you will receive conference sign-up information from your child's teacher. This year, sign-ups will include the option for in-person conferences as well as virtual. If you choose to attend conferences in person, please understand that all visitors to the building on either September 29th or September 30th must wear a mask regardless of exemption status. All visitors having in-person conferences will check-in at the office before heading down to meet with your child's teacher.
Conferences are a great time to hear the wonderful things that are happening in the classroom as well as your child's academic progress and learning goals. I hope that you will find this to be an enjoyable and productive time!
Conference Schedule
September 29th 4:20 pm-8:15 pm
September 30th 9:00 am-9:00 pm
October 1st No School (schools and offices closed)

First of all, THANK YOU to all of the families that have already donated. You have no idea how much we appreciate your contribution!
We are asking for any families that might want to help donate recess equipment to help our tigers play more at recess!!! Here is a list of what we are in need of that our kiddos like to play with:
- Toss and catch velcro catchers
- Mini footballs
- Four square playground balls (kickballs)
- We also welcome any monetary donations that would be used to purchase these items if you are not able to get to a store and buy them.
