CONGRATULATIONS JOSE!
Please help us congratulate our amazing Jose Gonzalez Trujillo, who received the Metzger Classified Employee of the Year award! Jose is an incredible staff member and friend to all of us at Metzger. Jose works so hard to elevate our school building and grounds everyday, and we value and appreciate all that he does for our staff, students, and families.
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL WALK AND ROLL
We had an amazing turnout for the first Winter Walk n Roll! Thank you to all who participated! We had at least 100 Metzger Mustangs join the crew at Metzger Park and ride with the bike train to school. We are so proud of all of your Mustangs! A special thank you to Shawne and Eliza Martinez for leading our bike train again!

METZGER LOVES READING!
Reading at home is one of the best ways to support your student(s) as they learn to read. Read at home for 15-20 minutes each night, record your reading on our Metzger Reading Log attached below or on a reading log provided by your teacher, then return the completed reading log to your classroom teacher.
Need books??? We have books to share thanks to our Amazing PSO! Please reach out to Joyce Haner or Jesabel Centeno if you need books to read at home.
DENTAL 3 SERVICES COMING IN MARCH
Dental3 will be providing free dental screenings, sealants, and fluoride at your child’s school in the week of March 13th. Healthy teeth are important to your child’s overall health. A dental screening is a quick look inside your child’s mouth to check the overall health of their teeth. Dental sealants are protective coatings put on the back teeth to prevent cavities and fluoride is a vitamin that is brushed on the teeth to make teeth stronger and prevent cavities.
Click this link to sign the permission form for your child online.
KINDERGARTEN PARENTS: KINDERS WILL NOW EXIT THE BUILDING at 2:20!
Starting Monday, 2/6 the kindergartners will now exit at 2:20 pm. The main reason for this is to both decrease the time kinders have to wait on the bus and to increase their snack time at the end of the day. Thanks for your patience as we navigate this change!
IS YOUR STUDENT TOO SICK FOR SCHOOL? & HELPFUL GUIDELINES
We understand it's a difficult battle of keeping children home when they're sick and knowing when to send them in. Attendance and health both matter and it's an important balance to upkeep. Please see below for a helpful guideline from Every Day Matters and click the button below for important guidance from the district for when students can return to school after an illness.
