Cursive Handwriting
In 2014 with the passage of the
Back to Basic Education Act, it was planned to fund cursive writing materials for grades 2-5 for a transition period to ensure that students could create legible documents in cursive writing by the end of the fifth grade. After meeting with Anne Pressley in August 2016 and Molly Spearman on March 30, it was agreed to reduce the grade levels of the consumable cursive writing materials being provided to elementary schools from grades 2-5 to grades 2-3 beginning with the 2018-19 school year.Yearbooks
Bus Driver Appreciation Week
Next week is bus driver appreciation week. Almost 300 of our students ride a bus to and from Ebinport every day. In a way of showing our appreciation to our bus drivers, we need your help. On Monday and Tuesday, please have any student in your class write a thank you note to their bus driver. It can be a simple as "Thank you for keeping us safe." The students can draw picture and write a number of ways to say thank you. On Wednesday, the students from your class who ride the bus will give their note to the bus driver during dismissal. Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
