Are you interested in AVID training right here in Danville? We have the following options available next Monday and Tuesday (next Tuesday counts as an open gym day) at DHS from 9 to 3 with a break for lunch. If you are interested in any of these offerings, but have not signed up, please email or call the curriculum office at 217-444-1086 ASAP! Spots are limited. Anyone that attends will receive 12 CPDUs and digital badge upon completion! Any District 118 instructional staff member is eligible to attend!

Smekens Exciting Opportunity! July 28, Aug. 3 & 4
Courtney Gordon, from Smekens Education, will be here for 3 days to offer support with ANYTHING SMEKENS (Comp Con, Year-Long Writing Plans, 6 Traits, etc.). It will be Open Gym format so you can come and go as you please and stay however long you desire.

Fundations Teacher Kits have arrived for Kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grade!
If you don’t already have your kit and would like to receive it this summer, the kits are available at the Jackson Building on Tuesdays during Open Gyms from 9:00-3:00. Please see Heidi Goula in the Curriculum Office and she will make sure you get what you need and check out your materials to you.

Second Step® (Live!) Demo Event
Are you interested in learning about the Second Step® family of social-emotional learning (SEL) programs? Please join us for a live event with short sessions to walk participants through our Second Step offerings. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about our programs, ask questions, and sign up for a consultation after the event. Feel free to come and go as needed to as many sessions as you wish and your schedule allows! Sessions will be recorded and resources shared after the event.

Technology Help Desk Information
The IT Department is available Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm.
If you have a technology related, non-emergency issue, please submit a Help Desk Ticket.
- This includes problems with your staff computer or laptop, printer, smartboard, telephone, student laptop, login issue, email issue, wireless connectivity problem, etc.
- If you need to reach the IT Help Desk, please call ext. 1583
Email Safety
As we continue to use communication with email, please remember to stay vigilant on being aware of the sender of emails coming to your inbox. We have seen an increase in attempts to mislead the recipient. It may seem like the email is coming from your Administrator but it is not a valid email for that person. Remember that emails from outside the district will have the following information highlighted in yellow at the top of the page:
