If you lived at the time of Squanto by Annie Kamma
Wampanoags took care of their children. If you where a girl you would spend time with your mom learning to cook. If you where a boy you would spend most of the day hunting deer and rabbit. Every winter the dads would put their boys out in the woods to survive on their own. Babies were kept in a cradle board. Today, kids still learn these things but with different tools.
