Message from Mrs. Muraca, Science & Technology Teacher

As you may know, I will be taking a few weeks for a medical leave. Nothing serious, just necessary.

I am very excited to welcome Mr. Dan Ubele to Tyngsborough Elementary School as my substitute Science and Technology Teacher. Mr. Ubele has been working at the middle school as a substitute in Ms. Flaherty's 8th grade U.S. History classroom since September. He has been shadowing me this week, and I am confident that Mr. Ubele is fully prepared to take over the classes.

Next week is Computer Science Education Week, so your child will be starting our Worldwide Hour of Code here at TES. Each of our 1st - 5th graders will use their individual accounts to learn to program using code. Each child has their own secret picture in order to sign in with.

Feel free to log your child in at home using this URL:

http://studio.code.org/sections/YBXJNK

Then, your child will find his or her name and scroll down and select his/her picture and then hit Sign In.

These block puzzles are amazing problem-solving tools for children to learn coding. They are not just playing video games with code, they are actually programming the main character.

Also, just a reminder to all students in grades 3-5. Be sure to practice your www.edutyping.com
