Living In Uncertain Times
Worried about health, finances, the future? Are you trying to deal with normal stuff but all the uncertainty on top of it? This pandemic is unprecedented but uncertainty is not. What do we know has helped us be resilient in the past?
Find a sustainable way to get your emotions out: Check in with yourself and reflect.
Cut yourself some slack: Stop telling yourself “I should…” “Should” adds stress. Comparison is the thief of joy.
Accept where you're at: What you can do? What feels meaningful? What gives you a sense of accomplishment? Do that.
Move past shame: There is a lot you can't control right now. It may require doing things differently than you thought.
Find your resilience circle: Connect with people that lift you, point you in the right direction, that you can be honest with, and will keep reminding you to keep moving forward.
Don't get sucked into the doom: The world can change and that can be o.k.
