Message from the Principal

Hello Pyle Families,

This week Mrs. Ober, Mrs. Bock, and Ms. Meckelborg's classes were recognized as the red ribbon poster winners. They will be receiving a special reward from the PTA for their efforts.

Today was the end of the first trimester. Report cards will be available for parents in the Parent Portal on November 14th after school.

Monday we will be recognizing some very special Veterans at our recognition ceremony. Please ask your student about it.

Next Friday there is no school in observance of Veteran's Day.

Monday Ernie Pyle will be recognizing Veterans at our Veteran's Day recognition ceremony. We are excited to hear the special songs and poems that students have prepared for this event. Thank you, PTA for arranging this for our students so that we can remember the sacrifice that is given for the daily freedoms that we enjoy in this country.

Meet School Secretary Gladys Awelewa

Meet School Secretary Gladys Awelewa

Gladys is often the first person you meet at Ernie Pyle. She answers the phone and the door with a smile to greet our Pyle community with a smile. She is the one who makes sure that we are able to go on field trips, and camp, and have amazing school supplies in the classroom. She loves working at Ernie Pyle and has enjoyed interacting with everyone who passes through the office. Be sure to say hello to Gladys next time you are in the school office.

Please remind your students that this is available to them should they want or need any help on any assignments.

The school office is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 3:45 daily. If you need assistance with registration or have any questions please call the office at (562) 804-6528. If our friendly office staff is assisting another parent, please leave a message and your call will be returned.
