September 11th: All Grades
Click on one of the 3 links below to give your students a virtual tour of your college, or another one if you cannot find yours.
(Hint for SFA Alumni: Stephen F. Austin can be found under the ecampustours, but not in video format on the others)
Allow students to ask you questions about your University. (If you have a few spare minutes throughout the week take time to go through some more college tours.)
September 12th: All Grade Levels
Ask your students the following questions:
1. Is it important to have an aspiration, or a dream?
2. Is dreaming enough on its own?
3. What steps do we have to take to make that dream a reality?
September 13th: All Grades
Follow it up with this quote by Nola:
I " I don't dwell on my age. It might limit what I can do. As long as I have my mind and health, age is just a number." Nola Ochs
Follow Up Questions:
1. Nola didn't let the fear of "being too old" limit her. What fears can limit us?
2. Can fears stop us from reaching our goals?
3. What fear has been lying to you lately?
September 14th: All Grades
Begin discussion based on student observations from video.
Ask Questions Below:
1. What is something you want to achieve in your life?
If time allows:
What have you learned during this year's career and college week?
