Festival, Concert, and Extra Rehearsal Information

PRE-FESTIVAL CONCERT

Due to the lost instruction time from the snow days last week, we are in a crunch trying to prepare for our Concert Band Festival. In the best interest of the students, we are cancelling the Pre-Festival Concert scheduled for Monday, February 18th. We will reschedule the concert for a date to be determined in mid-March.

EXTRA REHEARSAL

In addition to the lost rehearsal time, we will also be unable to see our choir students for a week later this month when they are actively preparing for Choral Festival. Thus, we need an extra rehearsal.

7th grade band will rehearse after school from 2:45pm to 4:15pm on Tuesday, February 19th.

8th grade band will rehearse after school from 2:45pm to 4:15pm on Thursday, February 21st.

High School band will rehearse on February 18th either directly after school or in the evening as originally planned. HS band students need to log in to schoology and fill out the survey so Mrs. Rosselit can make the best rehearsal decision for the ensemble. Pizza will be provided.

We wouldn’t ask for another rehearsal unless it was desperately needed. Each of our middle school bands are split - meaning the students are in different hours. We need the time to bring them together to work on musicality, blending, and other necessary nuances that bring the music to life.

CONCERT BAND FESTIVAL

Our Festival is the first week of March. We will be gone during the school day and be back in time for students to catch their appropriate busses home. Students will need their uniforms and money for lunch. We will need about 5-6 chaperones to help ride the bus/watch the students when we go to festival.
