I can't believe we have been in school for 100 days!!

Writer's Workshop: This past week we worked on our class book! I know that you will be so excited to read it! This week we will finish our drafts and then do an author study over Mo Willems!

Reader's Workshop: continuing our character study using chapter books like Junie B. Jones!


Word Study: I have decided to give another week with the current spelling words/patterns, there will be a spelling check up on Friday! We are currently learning about the sounds of "Y" like in funny and spy!


Math:
Home Math Practice: to help your child practice his/her math skills, here
are some things you can do this week:
- Number relationships like “10 more than 28 is 38”
- Say 2 two-digit numbers and have your child tell
you which is the greater number
- Practice skip counting by 2’s
- Ten more and ten less addition and subtraction
-Count coins


Science/Social Studies: We had lots of fun celebrating the 100th day of school and learning how to use a thermometer to measure temperature!

February Family Project and Class Party

Our class party will be February 14! We will be making ice cream sundaes! Please look in the folder to see what to bring! Thanks!


We will pass out Valentines day cards in class as part of our party. Feel free to buy or make cards. Here is our class list:
