Every day, Okemah Public Schools faculty and staff are working to prepare our students for the future. Please take a moment to get a closer look at the awesome things I see while walking through our district.

Participants from almost seventy school districts across the state traveled to Okemah on Saturday to participate in the regional track meet. Teams began arriving at approximately 7:30 and the track area did not clear out for the next 12 hours. Okemah has hosted the regional track meet for several years but 2022 will rightfully be remembered as one of the largest crowds seen. This event was a great opportunity to showcase our facilities and wonderful community. It definitely had a positive impact on our local economy. Thank you to the many people that worked long hours to make the event a success.

The 2022-23 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) launched at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time October 1, 2021. New and returning students who plan to attend college between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023, should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible. To assist students and parents in the process, the Department’s Federal Student Aid (FSA) office has been sharing tips @FAFSA, including “7 Things You Need Before Filling Out the FAFSA Form” and “8 Steps to Completing the FAFSA Form.”

We are experiencing a shortage of bus drivers and substitute teachers. Please contact the administration office for information on becoming a bus driver or sub. We will help you obtain a bus driver's license

Okemah Public Schools facilities are a big part of the community. Many civic organizations, churches, and youth sports organizations regularly use them. We will always strive to keep everything clean and up to date.
