BIS Newsletter Week 5 Term 4
Friday 19th November
Kia ora e te whānau,
It was lovely to have some students back on site this week. It has been a very calm transition back into the school setting. Students arrived at staggered times and were all compliant with the Ministry rules of mask wearing and social distancing. The weather was fairly good at ensuring we could get outdoors and enjoy an outside learning environment.
Thank you all for taking the time to become familiar with the new ways that we are working in this staggered, part time onsite teaching environment. Our students have been amazing at showing us how well they can adapt to a new situation and be mindful of how their actions can contribute to the health and wellbeing of others.
Many of the onsite classes enjoyed some art, PE, walks in the community, games outdoors and time spent chatting with friends. Connecting with others was a priority and it was lovely to see smiling faces around our school.
We look forward to seeing more students next week and are hopeful for sunshine and warm days. Enjoy the weekend.

Timetable for in school learning
Our year 8 students have missed their second dose of the HPV vaccine due to covid. Our amazing public health nurses have organised to run a drive in clinic on the school grounds next Friday 26 November. If your child is due for this vaccine, you will be phoned by a nurse next week who will explain when you can be onsite and how they are running the clinic.
