What is the issue?
- Prejudice is a an issue in a community.
- People are saying offensive statements to other people from other countries.
- Racism is commonly caused by stereotypes.
- Stereotypes are spread through television, radio, the internet, music and books.
How long has it been an issue?
- The extent of the problem is that the stereotypes are about a person's religion, and race, culture.
- Racism has been an issue before it was written.
- It has gotten worse because it is no longer flagrant or conspicuous.
What data can be found to support the issue?
- The data I can find to support the claim that racism is a community issue is the amount of racism for the past years or this year.
- The trends that I see in the data is that racism has increased from the past year and this year.
Who can be contacted?
- City council members,
- People who have experienced racism,
- Students.
- Administrators
What groups/commissions/laws/policies already exist to try and resolve this issue?
- The are groups that can influence people to stop racism against others.
- They don't have to accept any form of racism hassle.
- People have the right to live as equals.
- This does not depend on a person's race or religion.
What have they tried to do and what where their results?
- Groups have tried to end prejudice by finding out problem with two or more individuals.
- Racism can not be stopped or solved
- People have different views of other people.
- Prejudice of other people continued for years.
What is one solution and what are its advantages and disadvantages?
1.) Understand the consequences of racism.
Advantage: Some people will change their behavior and view of other people.
Disadvantage: Some people might continue to say racist remarks to people.
