Meet the New Principal

Greetings Families,
It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy and to join this extraordinary school community. I hope that this message finds you enjoying the last few days of summer. Over the past few weeks, I have heard about the positive experiences that students, families, and teachers have felt as a member of this school. I believe wholeheartedly that every student and family deserves access to a high-quality education. I am beyond excited to be able to contribute to the excellence and specialness that has already been established here by Ms. Weems, the students, staff, and stakeholders.
I arrive at TAG as an experienced elementary educator. The 2022-2023 school year will mark my 12th year in education. Over the course of the last twelve years, I have served as a special education teacher, MTSS Specialist, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal in various schools across Atlanta Public Schools. I am excited about my new role as your principal, as it will provide me the chance to work collaboratively with teachers and parents daily, while also remaining connected to our core business of teaching and learning.
In closing, please know that my door is always open to you. I welcome your conversation and positive input throughout the year. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work. I look forward to celebrating our collective successes during this school year.
Enjoy the remaining days of summer!
Educationally driven,
Melanie Sithole
Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy Principal
