Great Things Happening in our Classrooms at South Middle School!
Both 6th grade teams have implemented a choice menu for redos/retakes so that students are able to show their learning in different ways. Students have shown great success given choices. Students are able to show their learning in ways such as writing a poem, creating a tedtalk, creating a movie and designing a brochure or model.
Domain 3: Instruction
Many strategies implemented with English Language Learners have proven effective and efficient for English speakers as well. Modeling, rate of speech and wait time, use of non-linguistic cues, giving instructions and checking for understanding are components of effective teaching practices. Do's and Don'ts for Teaching English Language Learners expands on the above mentioned actions and gives examples of what not to do.
Domain 1 and 4: Possible Artifacts
Many of us will be loading artifacts into KEEP2 for each Danielson Domain. Artifacts for Domain 4 have been the most sought after in the past few weeks. Here are examples of possible artifacts for both Domain 1 and 4.
