Welcome to Buckingham Elementary School's Electronic News & Information Connection. Beginning in 2013, the school is introducing an on-line newsletter that is user and mobile phone friendly. This format WILL NOT replace the PTO's BEN, but will feature events, key information, and news that is important for the Buckingham Community.

Buckingham Security Procedures

All guests & visitors to Buckingham Elementary are required to Sign-In at the front desk and wear a Visitor Badge - visible at all times while in school. Guests are to follow all rules and regulations of the school and must adhere to the stated purpose of the visit.

Buckingham Student Recognized in PA Drug-Free Calendar!

Buckingham 5th Grade Student, Angela “Angie” Bongiorno stands with Pennsylvania’s Attorney General, Linda Kelly. Angie was one of 13 state-wide winners of a contest sponsored by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office. She competed against 1500 fifth grade students across the state and her artwork was chosen to be featured in the Drug-Free Calendar for the month of March 2013. Congratulations Angie!

Buckingham's Annual Gift Giving/Food Drive Project - 2012

We would like to thank Nurse Randi Semanoff & all of the "Mighty Knights" who helped make our annual Giving Project/Food Drive Project a HUGE success. Also, thank you to Buckingham Students, Gage & Aiden, and the Student Council for the organization and planning of the Friday morning pretzel sales! The students raised over $600 that was donated and contributed to the overall Food Drive! During this time of year, we are thankful for all that we have and appreciate the Buckingham Community's willingness to help those in need. Thanks for your support!

Buckingham Holiday Sing

On December 21st, students and staff at Buckingham participated in a festive all-school-sing anticipating the Holiday and Winter vacation!

The Third Grade Talent Show

On the afternoon of December 21st, the Buckingham Third Grade Class held an assembly featuring the many talents of our students - from dance to comedy to music to athletics to art! Participating students shined while the teachers, parents, and guests admired all of the performances and projects! Congratulations to all the children who participated in this year's event!

PTO Family Fun Night - Virtual Field Trip to the Great Barrier Reef, AUS!

Please join the PTO on January 10 from 6:00PM-8:00PM for an exciting Family Fun Night featuring a Virtual Video Conference to Australia's: Great Barrier Reef. A Tour Guide will lead us on an adventure to look at sea life and other underwater fun from across the world in real time!

PTO General Meeting - Jan. 24, 2013 @ 9:30AM

Please join the Buckingham PTO for our General Assembly Meeting - January 24th at 9:30AM in the Cafeteria. This month's meeting will feature Dr. Lori Lennon (School Psychologist), Mr. Bryan Rosica (School Counselor), and Mr. Andy Durie (Physical Education) and their focus upon Positive Psychology - and - our committment to creating a Positive School Culture.

Buckingham's Family Fun & Fitness Night

Buckingham Elementary School is excited to announce that Family Fun & Fitness Night will be held on February 8th from 6:30-8:00PM. We look forward to another fantastic event featuring fitness and fun family activities! Look for more information in an upcoming Thursday Folder.
