A Letter From Shannon 2/24/23
All I know is WE ARE READY FOR SPRING!!! This cold, snowy weather has really put a damper on us this year and we are ready for the sunny warmer days ahead. In spite of the cold, we have a lot to celebrate. Our sweet 3rd graders had to wait an extra day to present their "Living Museum" biographies, but man oh man were they AWESOME!! We are so proud of the hard work that our kids put into this project as well as the resilience and flexibility that they demonstrated having to wait until Friday to show off their work due to the delayed start on Thursday that was during their originally scheduled presentation time. Parents we also are grateful to you for your patience and understanding that so much goes into reserving spaces large enough to house projects of this magnitude when we do presentations to our community of our students' work. The kids did a wonderful job today, in spite of it being a day later than planned. Our 3rd-6th grade Battle of the Books teams made it to quarter finals and battled on Thursday night at the Highlands Ranch Library. Our 3rd/4th grade team battled hard and made it to the overtime round, but lost on the 8th OT question. We are so proud of their awesome season of hard work and dedication. Our 5th/ 6th team also battled hard and in the end, won and are moving forward to semifinals next week on Monday, February 27th at 6pm at the Highlands Ranch library. We are so proud of this team as well, and congratulations to Coach Woody and Coach Ohrtman for their guidance and support during this BOTB season. Join us to cheer on our 5/6 team on Monday night!!!

Make your class the winner... Submit your video TODAY!

DR Photo Monday, February 27th
On Monday February 27, DR-Photo will be here to take some specific photos. Little Cougars and Kindergarten "cap and gown" individual photos will be taken. One specific class will have their class group photo taken as there were many absent last time! (That teacher will notify you).
In addition, if your child has participated in a staff sponsored group or club, please have them bring all of the shirts (or wear their shirts) so they can participate in the group photos. (A few examples are Green Team, ROCKS Council, BOTB, Choir, etc)
Lastly, don't forget to put on your smile!
After School Enrichment Opportunities
We have many new enrichment after school activities on our calendar! (Some starting on MONDAY!) These private organizations rent our rooms for the convenience of parents to have their child participate in something without having the hassles of transporting. The activities are always on the calendar on our website or you can bookmark the “activities” page of our website for more information and how to sign up.
