2018 has been a fantastic year full of lots of fun and exciting learning experiences for us all in 4T. I am so proud of all the achievements, success and improvements that all students have made. We have worked very hard to gain a better understanding of key content areas and have had a lot of fun along the way.
I would like to thank you all for the generous amount of support you have provided me throughout the year. It has been a pleasure to have taught each and every students in 4T this year.

Literacy
During Literacy this Semester, students explored our key theme from our concert, World War 2. This was definitely a very exciting and interesting topic area to investigate and all students thoroughly enjoyed this unit. We looked at comparing facts and opinions, diary entries, newspaper articles and propaganda. Students composed some fantastic pieces of writing and were able to hold valuable dialogue discussions about World War 2 which demonstrated their keen learning.
Throughout the Semester, we also reflected on our key comprehension skills with various Focus on Reading activities that helped strengthen students reading skills. The confidence and enthusiasm that students brought to each lesson was great to see. Well done for all your hard work 4T!

Our excursion to the NSW Art Gallery
During Term 3, 4T were very fortunate to visit the NSW Art Gallery. At the Gallery, students explored various types of artworks ranging from Aboriginal , Traditional Renaissance and Australian artworks by very well known artists. They analysed these artworks and looked for the key messages that the artists wanted to portray.
Students also had a great time learning to draw portraits and use different techniques to draw landscapes. Some of the final drawings were really great!
Overall, 4T had an awesome time at the NSW Art Gallery. It will be an excursion to remember.
Farivale Public School's 2018 Concert- Those were the days...
We had such a great time performing at our whole school concert in Term 3. Our theme was 'Those were the days'. Stage 2 focused on the era from the 1930s to the 1940s. 4T's performance was based on World War 2. Students loved performing and dressing up like soldiers.
Everyone should be proud of the amazing effort during our performance!
