New wellness clinic will serve South Tahoe Middle School

South Tahoe Middle School will soon have a wellness clinic. Sierra Child & Family Services is a local nonprofit with its main focus on collective experience and interests directed at providing for the care and welfare of children. The nonprofit opened a wellness clinic in partnership with El Dorado County Behavioral Health, Lake Tahoe Unified School District and Tahoe Youth and Family Services a month before school ended last year at South Tahoe High School. In less than a month the middle school will have one too.

Free Math Tutoring at LTCC for all LTUSD Students!

Free Math Tutoring at LTCC for all LTUSD Students!

Drop in on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday every week through December 8 (except Thanksgiving Week and Veterans Day) from 3 - 5pm in the reading mezzanine inside the main entrance and directly upstairs. Students should come with their math work or Chromebook. Tutoring is free and tutors can assist with any K-12 math level - all students are welcome!

Volleyball and Nordic Ski Coaches needed

South Tahoe Middle School students are in need of a Volleyball and Nordic Ski Coaches. If you are interested complete the job application linked here. You may also contact assistant principal Mr. Brown for more information. Seasons are scheduled to start December 19th and runs through middle of February.

Good Evening Parents/Guardians,

This is a reminder regarding fall sports registrations. If your student would like to participate in athletics at STMS, please make sure to complete their registration on RegisterMyAthlete.com. If your student-athlete has already participated in sport at STMS please use the same account to register for a Fall Sport. If not, please create an account and follow steps to register.

South Tahoe Schools are listed under the state of NEVADA. If you need registration instructions, they are available in the Athletics Office.

Funds raised by the PTA, including membership dues, help support academic and enrichment programs for all students at STMS.


Although volunteers are much appreciated, PTA members are NOT obligated to volunteer. By becoming a member you are supporting our students.


Our next meeting is November 9th at 5:30 pm in the STMS Library. Everyone is welcome!

Nov. 3 - Special Needs Community Night at Aleworx Dear Parents, Thank you for a super successful Special Needs Community Night at AleWorX in October. We had over 60 people made up of families and their special needs children attend. We look forward to an equally successful turnout for November’s meeting. Once again it will be at AleWorX at “The Y” November 3rd from 6-8pm with free pizza for the kids. Read More…
