We will continue our study of polar bears. This week we will use non-fiction texts and applications to gather more facts, and then use the information to create a visual display of our learning.

We will work on expository writing this week, using the information we have learned about polar bears.

Students will discover how number patterns work, and identify the patterns in how they say and write numbers.

All of this "pattern" work is leading up to our money unit, which will begin in February. I have lots of "fake" money, but if you have any spare coins that you can donate to our class coin collection - we would be appreciative - pennies, nickels and dimes are great learning tools.

We will learn about the scientific method, and do several experiments this week using this important, scientific system.
