Knights News !!!!
September 25-29
Dear Families,
We wanted to send out our week ahead early this week to remind families that Monday is a PA Day. As a school and board, we will be examining data to better understand the needs within the system and how to serve all students better.
Our students have been involved in many different activities this week both inside and outside the classroom. Teacher's have been completing many assessments in reading and math to determine where students are in their learning. Many classes participated in and benefitted from rich learning opportunities on field trips to Wynn Farms and Gould Lake!
Our cross country team continues to train daily and our junior boy's, girl's and senior soccer teams competed in the LESAA tournaments this week - our senior team was the tournament winner! Go Knights Go!
We have noticed an increase in absences due to illness. Embedded in the newsletter is information on Hand Foot & Mouth disease as well as the most recent guidelines from the Health Unit regarding Covid 19.
If you have not yet returned your child's Student Emergency Information or medical plans of care, please submit those ASAP sot that our records are up to date.
Looking forward to another great week ahead!
Sincerely,
Jean Paquin, Principal & Mistene Clapp, Vice Principal

Bath Holiday Bazaar
To Whom It May Concern,
Bath Public School is seeking donations for our silent auction and raffle, which is a part of our Bath Holiday Bazaar, on Saturday November 18th, 2023. Our event attracts over 1,500 people annually, has over 70 vendor spaces, and is considered the local event of the season!
Our fundraising efforts will be helping to update our technology for student use, purchase new indoor and outdoor fitness equipment, pay for some field trip busing, pay for special guests and in-school events, as well as supporting other School Advisory Council (Parent Council) projects.
We greatly appreciate anything you have to offer! Thank you in advance for your kind consideration for this very worthwhile cause. Donations can be mailed to Bath Public School, 247 Church St., Bath ON, K0H 1G0 or contact us regarding pick up of the donation. Please, be sure to enclose a few business cards or pamphlets with your donation, so we can identify you as the donor and make them available during the event.
We are also looking for someone to take over organizing the cafe and the cookie decorating. Please reach out if you are willing to take on this important job!

School Trips and Volunteers
Throughout the year, we may ask for parent/guardian volunteers on school trips or for various classroom and school activities. The wait time for obtaining a CPIC (background check with vulnerable sector screening) can be lengthy. As such, if you think you would be willing to assist with a trip or school event in the future, please consider obtaining a CPIC with vulnerable sector screening completed, beforehand.
Bath School Advisory Council
Our fabulous parent council is looking for new members! If you would like to be a part of this great team, please come to our first meeting on Monday September 26th at 6:30pm. We are looking forward to meeting in the library. We hope that many new and returning members will come to say hello and plan ways to make our great school even better! Please let us know if you can make it and if you will require childcare. We are pleased to be able to provide it during the meeting for those who require it.
