PICK UP AND DROP OFF REMINDERS-Please be mindful of students on your daily drive!
MORNING DROP OFF
Parents dropping students off by car should use the parent car lane (right hand lane) and pull as far forward as possible.
Once a car is as far forward as traffic allows and is past the flagpole (main entrance), a child may be dropped off.
Students should only exit from the passenger (curbside) of the car.
Parents should remain in their vehicles during carline drop off.
Any parent needing to enter the school at this time should park their car in an open stall.
Following drop off, students may:
Walk on the sidewalk through the cafeteria doors to breakfast
Walk on the sidewalk through the cafeteria doors to walking or reading club
Students must arrive prior to 8:00 am to join reading and walking club
Walk on the sidewalk to their grade level outdoor spot
Teachers begin outdoor duty at 7:50 am. Prior to 7:50, students will not have adult supervision.
AFTERNOON PICK UP
Car riders are dismissed at 3:07 p.m. Your child’s teacher will accompany them out of school and will wait for pick up in the same location daily
A left turn into the car line, driving South on N. HWS Cleveland Boulevard, is prohibited after school hours. Please access the pick up line coming in from the North.
As with drop off, parents should pull up through the line as far as traffic allows. Staff will work to load students from the farthest point possible, regardless of where student waiting areas are.
Students and teachers will be on the lookout for cars. When appropriate, teachers will send students to walk on the sidewalk to meet their ride.
Especially during the first months of school, posting a car rider tag with family name and grades in the windshield of your vehicle can allow staff to quickly and accurately identify cars and to call students for pick up efficiently.

Student and Patron Expectations at Bennington Activity Contests
As we begin attending home athletic contests for Fall sports, (Cross Country, Football, Girls Golf, Marching Band, Softball, Volleyball, etc) please remember to follow Bennington expectations at these events.
- Badger fans are expected to cheer in a manner that does not distract from the high school competition on the field/court. Examples of cheers that distract from the game on the field or on the court:
- Suggesting officials have been paid off
- Cheers that suggest an official is permanently poor in your opinion
- Consistent screaming/yelling during the contest.
- Students K-5 must be with a parent.
- Students are expected to sit with parents or in the section designated for their grade/school. Bennington Middle School and Bennington South Middle School have designated seating on the east side of the main grandstand (toward Bennington Road).
- Students K-5 who stray from a parent/guardian may be returned to a parent/guardian.
- Balls, frisbees, and other sports items that could potentially create a safety hazard are not allowed inside the stadium. These items may be confiscated by game personnel.
- No re-entry for students. Please bring blankets, coats, etc…into the game at the start of the contest.
- Alcohol and tobacco products are not allowed on school property. Personal beverage cups are subject to inspection by the BPS administration or law enforcement.
- The NSAA prohibits the following items from athletic contests. These items could possibly lead to a penalty/sanction for the Badgers: Confetti/shredded paper, powder (baby, talc, etc.), Laser light/pointer, flashing objects, miniature sports balls, objects or candy thrown into the crowd, artificial noisemakers, (included but not limited to horns, cow bells, bells, buzzers, clickers, thunder sticks, rattles, instruments not part of a band), whistles, air horns, sirens, cannons/muskets/guns/fireworks, live animals.
- Gates will open for events 1 hour prior to game time. Blankets or other items placed prior to gate opening may be moved by administration.
