~New Announcements~
LEADERSHIP APPLICATIONS DUE TUESDAY, MARCH 8thIf interested in applying for any of the three leadership classes: Link Crew, ASB, or AIM, please see the link below. Interested students are encouraged to come to an informational meeting at lunch on Tuesday, March 8th in the MPR where Mrs. Hurtado will go over the differences in classes. | SPRING BAND AND CHOIR CONCERT WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE CLARK CENTER MARCH 9TH. This event starts at 7 pm. Tickets are available at the box office and it is a FREE CONCERT!!!! Come support the performing arts! | WINTER FORMAL TICKETS GO ON SALE THIS WEEK!Upperclassmen will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets on Monday and Tuesday, 3/7-3/8 with underclassmen on 3/9 until tickets are sold out (400 tickets available). This formal event takes place on March 19th at Grace Bible’s Courtyard from 7-10 pm. Dancing, firepits, live music, and light refreshments are included in the ticket price. See flyers around campus and check school emails for more details. |

Club Meeting Notices & Announcements
Club Meetings resume for second semester. Please see the attached links for the Clubs at AGHS CLUBS AGHS and the Club Calendar for meeting times/locations:
SPEECH AND DEBATE NEWS: Lucas Havemose and Sandy Peterson qualified for State in Policy Debate. In Lincoln-Douglas, Virgil Andreasen went 2-2 (just missing the cut) and our Public-Forum team of Zoe Lodge and Paul Green picked up 2 ballots while competing against several top qualifying teams.

NEW LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS NOW AVAILABLE: There are a few newly listed late last week with multiple scholarship deadlines approaching. Don’t miss out on these opportunities if you plan to attend a 2 year, 4 year, or vocational school after graduation.

General
The Navy will be here on March 29th during 5th period to talk about the Navy-ROTC program (NROTC). Visit room 208 to find out more and to sign up for this presentation or sign up here.
Colorado Mesa University will be on campus in the Career Center on March 16th! Colorado Mesa University is a WUE school with some GREAT opportunities for California students! Stop by the Career Center or click here to sign up to attend this presentation and find out more about the University!

Community Service Opportunities
Student help is always needed at Home Track Meets.
Our next meet is on Friday 3/11. Several other opportunities will be in March. Interested students need to sign-up in Room 309 or in Room 908.

Submitting your community service hours
The Google Form for Community Service Hours is used for the graduation requirement of 20 hours. Any hours in addition to your graduation requirement should be submitted on the Give Back 250 Google Classroom with Mr. Hurtado.

Staff Notices
REMINDERS: STAFF: Wear your ID when on campus. Also, Continue to be diligent about proper mask wearing in the classroom. Refer any issues to grade level admin.
TEACHER PARTICIPATION: As case managers and counselors are setting up meetings with students with Fs, it is absolutely vital and expected that all teachers participate in IEP, 504 and SST meetings. It is imperative that you provide your feedback and participation...a sub can be provided if needed, just let the case manager know. Please indicate on the calendar invite why you can’t make it if you decline.
