We can't beleve that we are already halfway through the school year! Students have finished MAP testing and are ready to take on 3rd Quarter. We have many fun activites for students coming up in February, such as our PBIS Assembly, NJHS Dance, and Breakthrough.

Register Now for Breakthrough!
Breakthrough (formerly known as Operation Snowflake) will be held at Prairie View Middle School on Friday, February 21st from 5:00 – 9:00 pm. Registration forms and a $25 fee are due by Friday, February 7th.
Open to all middle school students, Breakthrough is a fun, 4-hour retreat focusing on personal and social development, promoting sound decision-making and emphasizing teens helping teens.

Congratulations to the Stock Market Game Winners!
Below are Mrs. Zawilinski's Teams that took first, second, and third place in winning the Stock Market Game during first quarter in Geography/Economics. Their investment choices enabled them to beat out 177 other teams ranging from 4th to 12th Graders from across the region!

Important Calendar Information!
This year, March 17th’s Presidential Primary Election Day will replace Pulaski Day as a school holiday. Studentswill attend school on Pulaski Day, Monday, March 2nd.There is NO SCHOOL on TUESDAY, MARCH 17TH.This change was made by the Board of Education as a precautionary student safety measure because several of our schools are used as public polling places.
Save the Date!
Kindergarten Registration for the 2020-21 school year will be held at all elementary schools on Wednesday, March 11th between 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. If you have any questions regarding the registration process, please call our Administration Center at (708) 532-6462.
School Closure Notification Process:
If Kirby School District 140 needs to close schools due to inclement weather, families will receive notification from SchoolMessenger, our electronic messaging system, and an alert will be posted on our District/School websites. KSD 140 also communicates school closure information through Facebook, Twitter, and the Emergency Closing Center (ECC).
