Santa Clara Clarion
Weekly Staying Connected, #35, April 10
Major's Moment
I worked on a simple invitation to invite people to church on Easter Sunday. It took me a long time to figure out how to use Canva and to get the spacing and look just the way I wanted it.
Then it took me even longer to get my order online so I wouldn't have to pay the $350, $250, or $150 variations that the copy store wanted to charge me. I was so happy at the end of the night when I put my order in for more fliers than I originally requested for $60.
After several calls to make sure my order was received and cut to my liking, I then enlisted the help of my family to pick up the finished product since I wouldn't be able to to get to the store before it closed.
When I finally got to take a peek at the fliers in my hand I was so ELATED!!! All of that hard work paid off. Everything looked great! I felt accomplished! .....
Until I looked closer and realized that the date on the flier was WRONG!!! Then I had to go and put in more time to find a "creative" way to cover up my mistake.
Have you ever been through a similar feeling or situation, where you worked so hard on something but just missed the main point?
God, help us to focus on the main point of this season. You giving your son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us. To create a way to You.
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Major Shoshannah
