Principal Post
Student grouping and placement for the 2019-2020 school year takes place in May. In preparation for this important task a Student Placement Information form is available on this link. This request form is due back to Mr. Dwyer by Friday, April 5th. Although a request form is not required, parent input about a child’s academic experiences can provide valuable insight to this process. Please remember that considerations for placing students in classes include but are not limited to class size, gender ratio, academic levels, student learning styles, specific student needs, diversity, and student peer relations. It is not recommended that a parent request a specific teacher due to the fact that requests are difficult to satisfy considering all the factors that go into placing students into specific classrooms. If you have questions about this form, please phone Mr. Mark Dwyer at 630-894-9200.
School will not be in session on Friday, March 1st due to Teacher Institute Day or Monday, March 4th due to the Casimir Pulaski holiday.
The Illinois Readiness Assessment (IAR) testing is coming for grades 3-5 in both reading and math beginning April 8th. Staff is working very hard preparing the students for these assessments. More information about the exams can be found at https://www.isbe.net/Pages/IAR.aspx.

5Essentials Parent Survey - Please take this survey - Your feedback is welcome!
2018-19 Illinois Parent Survey
Dear Parent, The Illinois State Board of Education invites you to participate in a school improvement survey for parents. Please Note: This survey is NOT a component of the 5Essentials Organizing Schools for Improvement Survey. In this survey, you will be asked to provide feedback about your child’s school. Please consider your child’s current experience at school (i.e., 2018-2019 school year). This survey is designed to help school and district leadership improve their understanding of the parent/school relationship.
All responses are completely anonymous. Responses to anonymous surveys cannot be traced back to the respondent. Additionally, your responses will be combined with other parents from your child's school and summarized in a school report to further protect your anonymity. Your participation in this survey is voluntary and you have the right to discontinue participation at any point.
If you have more than one (1) child, you may elect to participate multiple times.
The 5Essentials Parent Survey is now open. Parents are encouraged to complete this survey. Please use the following link to access the parent survey: http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/
