Tumuaki Korero
Kia ora e te whānau,
Wow, what a busy week we had last week! Thank you to everyone who helped out with the planting our our native trees and plants. It was a huge job preparing the area and planting over 700 trees and plants but it is complete and looks amazing. This project is not only about planting trees but also nurturing a sense of environmental stewardship within the hearts and minds of our students.
We are being impacted by illness at the moment with a number of tamariki away sick with coughs, colds and other illnesses. It is important to keep your child home if they are unwell. Please text or ring Ness in the school office if your child is away.
Students are currently working hard on their calendar art and these will be available for viewing and ordering next week. The artwork is looking incredible, the kids can’t wait for you to see it!
We are currently looking at classes for 2024, if you have a sibling or know of anyone who will be enrolling in 2024, can you please fill out the online enrollment form on our school website or pop in and see Ness in the office.
At Spring Creek School we are so fortunate to have free healthy lunches provided for our tamariki. If your child prefers not to enjoy the lunch provided, please ensure you send a healthy lunch option for your child. Sandwiches, fruit, vegetables etc and maybe one ‘treat’ option; and water only in their drink bottles. Please do not send chocolate or lollies of any kind. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Have an amazing week..
Ngā manaakitanga,
Cheryl Alderlieste
