Biography
Born in Germany 1483. Became a famous figure in Christianity for his reformation. All though his father was not enthused by his ideas. Martin was getting told by God he was to change the Christian religion. Why Christianity needed changing was because of corruption and money getting received by the Roman Catholic popes."Luther spent the next year developing his ideas, teaching, and writing. His most important treatises of this period include Address to the German Nobility, On the Babylonian Captivity of the Church, and Freedom of a Christian". The pope sent a letter regarding his book stating"from the Pope). Entitled Exsurge Domine ("Arise, O Lord"), the bull began by dramatically appealing to God to protect his church from the threat of Luther". His death and legacy prodeeded him through he rebellion and the rise of his reformation.

Lutheranism changed Europe majorly. At the time Catholicism ruled Europe , with this new concept on religion it gave more people freedom. Also it being not a big religion it was not as corrupt as the catholic religion. On the Catholics side they viewed the new religion as an attack on Catholicism.
