These summaries are not meant to replace minutes. The minutes for each meeting are approved and posted after the next regularly scheduled meeting.   • Construction Update
    John Eallonardo of FQC provided the Board with an update related to the most recent change orders.
  • Illinois School Report Card
    Superintendent Gordon summarized the new Illinois School Report Card format and the District 41 data as presented in the report card.
  • Celebration of Two Staff Members
    Superintendent Gordon celebrated two building and grounds staff members who volunteered to be a part of a mentoring group for students at Hadley Junior High.

  • District 41 Foundation Proposal | watch
    “Creating a Foundation in Support of D41” was presented by community members Kathy Bayert and Kelley Kalinich. They explained the proposed idea to establish a District 41 Foundation, outlined the idea of the foundation, answered Board member questions, and shared next steps.

  • Levy 101 and Tentative 2019-2020 Early Budget Draft | watch
    Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter presented an outline of the levy process as well as explained tax caps and consumer price index. He shared the timing of the levy and other aspects of the levy. He also spoke about the early tentative budget for next year.

Board Policy Revisions - First Reading

Board President Stephanie Clark and Erica Nelson presented policy updates discussed at the Board Policy Committee meeting.


Addendum to Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement for Food Services

Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter explained the food service partnership with District 15 and asked the Board to consider making an addendum to the agreement related to personnel and also recyclable trays.

            IASB Report to Membership

            Board member Robert Bruno shared his recommendation as related to the resolutions put forward by the IASB for each Illinois school district to consider. The Board discussed the resolutions and came to consensus on how to move forward.


            Consensus on ACTFL Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages (AAPPL) Testing

            Director of Language Programs Theresa Ulrich presented information about a possible new standardized assessment for 8th grade Spanish students at Hadley. The Board reached consensus to move forward with this new assessment.
