Onsite interviews:
- Campus administration will have the opportunity to review credentials of candidates in attendance.
- If criteria for the positions available are met, interviews may be scheduled for the afternoon or at a later date and time.
- We highly encourage you to apply online for positions that you may be interested in prior to attending on Feb. 22. This will allow campus administration to have access and review credentials prior to our event.

Board of Trustees Calls Bond Election
On February 6, 2020 at a special-called meeting, the GISD Board of Trustees approved and called an Order of Election for a May 2, 2020 Bond Election in the amount of $35,100,000.
Prior to making the final decision, the Board reviewed all of the information as well as options that were developed by the Facilities Steering Committee.
The proposal will be as follows:
Expansion of Chalmers campus - $12,781,954
Expansion of Lee campus - $ 13,013,400
Capital Improvements - $9,263,176
The expansion of the Lee and Chalmers campuses would decommission Edison Elementary from student use.
The deadline to register to vote in the May election is April 2, 2020

Chalmers kicks off Kids Heart Challenge!
About the challenge:
Kids Heart Challenge (formerly Jump Rope for Heart) is an American Heart Association program that help teachers prepare students to be physically and emotionally successful. Students will learn and practice cardio pumping activities like jumping rope and raise life-saving research dollars for the American Heart Association, while teaching students about social and emotion learning and the importance of good health.
