Doodle for Google Art Contest; theme is "When I grow up, I hope...."
Hi Manatee families, the Doodle for Google art contest has been around for more than a decade and this year I want to encourage all students to enter this event. The deadline to enter is March 18, 2019, the first day of spring break. Students still have time to enter this contest from home. This is not an art class requirement/assignment but I am encouraging all our students to participate. I will be discussing this in art class and giving students the entry from for anyone who wants to give this a try. Students may get the entry form from me or download it with their parent. Entries may be submitted by mail or online. A copy of the parent letter is attached so you will have all the details needed for your child to enter. Fifty-three students will be named winners from their State/Territory. Five finalists will be selected and one winning student from among the five will receive: a college scholarship, Google for Education technology package for their school and their artwork placed on the Google homepage for a day. The remaining four finalists will also receive a college scholarship.
If you have questions, please contact me by email or phone.
Let the doodling begin!
Ms. Mumme

If you would like to donate items for Project Prom Queen, Manatee will have a box in the front lobby until March 8th.
