Vitamins are divided into three different groups, Fat soluble vitamin, water soluble vitamin and antioxidant
Fat soluble Vitamin
dissolves in fat and are stored in the fat and the liver for later use. Fat soluble Vitamin if taken in large quantities can be harmful to the body such as toxic. Example: Vitamin A D E and K
Water Soluble Vitamin
dissolves in water and is never stored. Water soluble Vitamin can cause the kidney to work to hard if taken in large quantities. Excess vitamin excreted through urine Examples: Vitamin A and C
Antioxidant
3rd group with vitamins from the previous two groups. protects body from cell damage that could lead to cell damage. Example: Vitamin A C and E Sources: Fruits,Vegetable,Nuts,Whole grain bread and Cereal
