Carver Elementary Coyote Newsletter
June 2022
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR THE 21/22 SCHOOL YEAR IS MONDAY, 6/27/22.
THIS IS AN EARLY RELEASE DAY.
Dear Families,
The school year is coming to close and we thank you for partnering with us to support your children and we wish you a wonderful summer. On the last day of school, June 27th, your child will be going home with a paper copy of their final report card for the year as well as their NWEA growth data. We ask that you go over your child's report card with them and use this as an opportunity to applaud them for their hard work and encourage them for the future. While summer is a time for resting, reflecting and unwinding, they can also begin to think about goals for the Fall. Your child's report card can also be accessed on the Aspen portal, but we felt that a paper copy is a great way to engage with your child about their progress.
We hope you enjoy this newsletter that includes lots of curriculum resources for summer fun.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions. Our summer hours are Monday- Thursday from 8-2 and on Fridays from 8:00-12:00. The office number is 508-866-6210.

SPOTLIGHTING OUR KIND STUDENTS AT CES!
The theme at CES this school year is "Above All Be Kind." Students are being challenged to be the "I" in Kind. Teachers will nominate students who have gone above and beyond to demonstrate kindness to others. From recent nominations, the following 6 students have been selected to showcase in this newsletter.
Health Office Information
Medications remaining at the end of the school year must be picked up by parent/guardian by the last day of school, and cannot be stored at CES over the summer.
Action plans for chronic health conditions, medication orders, and parental consent forms must be renewed each school year.
If your child visits their health care provider for a physical exam, please update their school health record by providing a copy to the school nurse.
Please see the Medication Policies and Forms section of the CES Health Office webpage for more information.
Massachusetts Mandatory School Health Screenings, including postural screening for grade 5, will be ongoing over the next few weeks. (*Families who have provided documentation of postural screening by their child's medical provider on a current school year physical exam may opt-out of in-school screening by written request to the school nurse.)
