Congratulations to our 54 amazing Destination Imagination team members!! We are so proud of their hard work that started all the way back at the beginning of the school year. They've accomplished so much and did such a great job at competition last weekend! If you'd like more information about the DI program in the future, click here.

*******Reminder - No Visitors Next Week*******

Visitors will not be allowed on campus the weeks of March 30th and April 20th due to STAAR testing. This applies to EVERY DAY of the week and ALL GRADES even if your student is not taking the STAAR test.

This Includes:

  • No eating lunch with your student.
  • No student deliveries (lunches, water bottles, library books, homework, etc). Everything must be packed with your student that morning.
  • If your student forgets their lunch, make sure they have $ in their account to buy lunch.
  • No volunteers (workroom, library, classrooms, etc)
  • Do not schedule Dr appts or early dismissals on testing days for your 3rd, 4th and 5th grader. Students will not be pulled out of testing.

STAAR Testing Days*

March 30 - 4th
March 31 - 4th & 5th
April 20 - 5th
April 21 - 3rd & 4th
April 22 - 3rd, 4th and 5th

*Makeup testing occurs on the days following the above scheduled days.

Class Pictures - Order online thru Sunday

Forget to order your student's class picture? You can still order online with a credit card thru Sunday, March 29. Click the "online ordering" tab and select "school portraits" from the pull down menu. Enter the Hosp school code: 1415-0156. If you have any problems, you can contact SchoolPix customer service at 972-334-9140.

Hosp Spring Carnival & Silent Auction - Save the Date!

The Hosp PTA are thrilled to announce that the first ever Hosp Spring Carnival & Silent Auction will be held Saturday, April 25 from 1-4pm. We'll have an obstacle course, photo booth, face painting, balloon animals, henna tattoos, arts & crafts, carnival food and too many games to mention.

We'll also have over 15 great silent auction items for kids, moms and dads and the entire family. What a fun way to spend your Saturday afternoon - we hope you can join us!

Flora Gonzalez, Cafe Manager

Please help us give a warm welcome to our new Cafe Manager! Flora Gonzalez has over 23 years of experience in the food industry and has been with FISD for nearly 5 years. Born in Mexico but raised in Wylie, Texas, Flora will soon be moving to Frisco from McKinney and has three daughters ages 22, 18 and 15.

As Cafe Manager, Flora is responsible not only for feeding hundreds of us every day but also inventory management, food cost, purchasing/receiving, not to mention fabulous customer service. She and her team strive for excellence and it shows!

If she wasn't busy enough, Flora spends her free time cake decorating and exercising/walking. Say hello to Flora and her wonderful team the next time you join us for lunch!

Lost & Found Reminder

Please remind your students to look for any items they may have lost since winter break. Each class passes the Lost & Found every time they go outside to, and back inside from, recess. Items not claimed will soon be donated.

Parents are welcome to check the Lost & Found during the following times:

  1. Before school 7:20 - 7:50am
  2. During a lunch visit if you are eating with your student
  3. After school 2:50 - 3:20pm

New to Frisco and FISD?

Kindergarten Roundup - April 6 thru April 10

If you have a child that is or will be 5 years old by Sept 1, then you'll start the FISD registration process during Kindergarten Roundup, which will take place Monday, April 6 - Friday, April 10 at Hosp in the front lobby. Your student is welcome to join you but it is not required.

Roundup Hours:

9am - 2pm daily, with extended hours on Tuesday, April 7th from 9am to 7pm.

What You'll Need to Bring:

  1. Birth Certificate
  2. Social Security Card
  3. Immunization Records
  4. Proof of Residency (even if an older sibling currently attends Hosp). Proof of residency is defined as the most recent utility bill, a lease agreement or if building a new home, a copy of the building contract noting the completion date.

Frisco ISD Spirit Night with the RoughRiders!

Join our community for the FISD Spirit Night at the Dr Pepper Ballpark for lots of fun, a RoughRider ball game and fireworks after the game! Order forms went home in Thursday folders this week and you can find more details in the flier below.

Order forms with payment are due by Friday, April 10 and should be turned in to our Receptionist, Lisa Ferguson, in the front office.
