iReady Benchmarks Begin Wednesday!

Dear Anna Yates Families,

February 1 will begin the start of our iReady Benchmark 2 assessment; this will be our second of three benchmark opportunities we have throughout this year. We use this assessment as a tool to support our intervention block, support reteaching, ensure their daily iReady lessons are at an accessible level, and practice testing protocols and strategies for grades 3-5 that will participate in state testing later this year.

You can support their participation by reminding your child to:

  • Take their time and do not rush
  • Read each question and answer choice carefully
  • For math, show their work using scratch paper
  • For reading, read and reread each passage
  • Check their work!
  • Try their best!

Arriving Daily, On Time Matters

In reviewing the current attendance patterns, I will be making phone calls this week to families that thus far have missed considerable amounts of school during these first 100 days. My purpose is to understand, support, and help shift current negative patterns. I thank those of you that thus far have maintained positive attendance and I look forward to discussing how to increase positive attendance for those who thus far have had challenges in doing so.
