Dead Tadpole Downpour
Several tadpole downpour have hit central Japan's Ishikawa Prefecture. The clouds of tadpoles appeared over a number of cities in the region in June of 2009. Scientists believe that the strong wind, storms, and water sprouts have sucked up the tadpoles and then deposited them inland. Others believe that birds picked up the tadpoles and then dropped them over the cities.
