Holiday 2015

While you are celebrating the season in your classrooms or at home, I hope that there are a few resources here that you can use. I hope that all of you have a very relaxing and enjoyable break! Merry Christmas!

Zing!

Now that almost every student has their own device from upper elementary through high school, you might want to try the free ebook site--Zing. You can register with your school email address to access thousands of free ebooks and audiobooks. It is more than just a place to discover ebooks, however. You can set up classroom accounts to assign a book to students or to share with a class. It has filters that allow you to search by topic, grade level, Lexile or Guided Reading level, and even language. Since every student now has access to a laptop, it would be great to share a site like this with students for research or reading to supplement our print library.
