Rules

We’re collecting selfies from our families in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade that are reading Rules at home. If you and your child(ren) are reading the book together, feel free to snap a selfie and send it in. 4th grade families please email your photos to nweidenhammer@cbsd.org , 5th grade families please email your photos to kyuknus@cbsd.org , and 6th grade families please send your photos to sbyrne@cbsd.org . We’ll print the picture and add it to our school bulletin board.

Happy reading!

Dismissal Reminders

If it is necessary to change your normal pick-up routine at the end of the day, i.e., a different adult, bus rather than car, car rather than bus, a change in child care arrangements, etc., a written note must be presented to the classroom teacher, who will share the information with the office.

Any phone calls regarding a change in end-of-day plans must be directed to the office before 2:30 PM through a phone (267-893-4500, dial zero for the office) or via e-mail (mdaily@cbsd.org and rglasgow@cbsd.org) and not directly to the classroom teacher, as we cannot guarantee the teachers will be able to check their messages during the instructional day.

Titus in Action

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, and More Pumpkins

Titus students and their families were encouraged to create a storybook character from the many wonderful gourds that are available this time of year. Our Titus families did not disappoint with the many pumpkins that were brought in and that filled our library.

Pumpkins will be coming home with students next week. Students will be able to pick them up during their library class and take them home that afternoon. Winners will be announced in class all next week and awarded on Friday, November 8th.

Great way to show our love of reading, Titus!!!

Scholastic Book Fair Wrap Up

The scholastic book fair was a huge success! A special thank you to Mrs. Bucher and the sixth grade decorating committee for the awesome decorations. Thank you also to all the book fair volunteers this year – especially Mrs. Merz, Mrs. Tourish, and Mrs. Swenson for those long hours.

If your child ordered a book that was not in stock during the fair the books will be delivered to your child’s classroom. Book orders take 7 – 10 business days from the conclusion of the fair so please be patient!

Toys for Tabor

The season of giving is almost upon us and once again we at Titus will be collecting new and unused items for Tabor Children Services from Monday, November 4th through Thursday December 5th with our wrapping party taking place on the evening of December 5th. If you would like to volunteer your time or items to make this a successful event, please contact Mrs. Katie Doerr. The children in need range from infant through 21 years of age. Please click here to take a look at the holiday gift suggestion list to see what items are most needed. There will be decorated collection boxes in the lobby for your donations.

While shopping this holiday season, please consider picking up a gift for the children of Tabor House. For many, these will be the only gifts they receive. The children who benefit from your generosity are extremely grateful for your kindness. Thank you in advance for your support!
