Mixtures

What are mixtures, compounds, and solutions?

Mixtures

Mixtures are two or more subtances mixed together. There are three types of mixtures: solutions, compounds, and mixtures. Mixtures can be homegeneous or heterogeneus. Homogeneous means the materials are blended together. Solutions such as Kool-Aid, salt water, and lemonade are homeogeneous mixtures. Heterogeneous means the materials are different and they stay separate. Mixed chips and nuts are heterogeneous mixtures. Compounds are heterogenous mixtures like water, sugar, and carbon dioxide.
