A note from Ms. Burkett
It has been a pleasure working and learning with all the teachers and students at NPES! Keep using all your technology skills to integrate digital learning into your teaching. It is important to foster self-directed learners who are critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and proficient in using technology for research, collaboration, and communication! I appreciate all you do to provide our students with 21st century skills that will prepare them to be leaders and global citizens! Enjoy your summer!
A note from Mrs. Sheely
Valerie is librarian extraordinaire. The students and faculty here are beyond compare!!
Charlotte best expresses my retirement career:
“You have been my friend," replied Charlotte. "That in itself is a tremendous thing...after all, what's a life anyway? We're born, we live a little while, we die...By helping you, perhaps I was trying to lift up my life a trifle. Heaven knows anyone's life can stand a little of that.” E.B. White, Charlotte's Web
A note from Mrs. Byrd Fort
I have very much enjoyed my time as the school librarian at NPES and I will certainly miss the students, teachers, and parents! I came in with the bricks and I am sad to leave, but I am very excited to spend more time with my daughter.
I will continue to teach Children's Literature at USC and will be available for special projects, read aloud suggestions, and whatever else you might need me for! I will always be passionate about libraries, reading, and books - so, you can still come to me for assistance!
