CHANGE THE WORLD DAY SEPTEMBER 15TH
If you are new to JBE, Change the World Day is a day where we encourage students to bring in change (or cash) to help make a "change" in their community and world. There is no set amount for the donation, the idea is that if we pull together we can make a positive impact in our world. Each Change the World Day will have a theme and a charity.
This month our donation will go to our local NRG Backpack Program. Participating students can wear a hat of their choice.
Thank you for helping our students learn to make a difference in their world!
Book Fair Week
Mark your calendars; the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Jonesburg September 10th-17th! We are very excited to be able to help add books to the library and classrooms.
We will have drawings throughout the week to give away FREE books from the fair.
Students will be given an opportunity to shop the book fair during their library times and throughout the week. Unfortunately, no outside guests will be allowed in the building to shop during school due to our safety precaution procedures.
Our book fair will be open during Family Fun Night on September 16th from 5:45-7:00 pm.

Meet MRC2's New Social Worker
I have lived in Montgomery County for almost 18 years. I have worked in the area of Social Worker for over 14 years. I live with my husband, two children, and our puppy dog Rylie. We love the community we live in. Some of the things I enjoy doing most are swimming, boating, and traveling. I look forward to working with all of you and please know if you need anything feel free to contact me, at any time.

Attendance Letters & School Communication
I know that there is a certain amount of anxiety involved with receiving attendance letters from the school. Please know that we are mandated to mail attendance letters after your students 3rd, 5th and 8th absence. This DOES NOT mean that we are going to call the truancy officer. On the back of the letter you will see the dates of your students absence and the detail that we noted when you called in. As always, we will be in touch if we have specific concerns. Please continue to communicate with our office about your students attendance.
