FFA Members had a busy FFA Week!

FFA Week ended with the barnyard zoo on Friday--a big THANK YOU to everyone who made this happen for our students!
Our Middle School Students had a great night at the middle school dance! Thanks to Miss Shoemate, the MS StuCo Sponsor, for all her work!

Kindergarten is learning about the importance of taking care of our teeth by brushing a soda stain from an egg and creating a diagram of a tooth.

6th grade STEM is currently building Egg-Contraptions. They researched Newton’s Laws of motion and food packaging to base their structures on.
Thank You for Your Support!
From Mrs. Marks:
The Life skills class has been working hard on their shirt orders. Every order will be filled this week. I want to tell everyone thank you for your support. These students have had jobs of sizing the shirts, putting shirts with the orders, putting the shirts and order form and special thank you notes in the bags, and sealing with a sticker from our Special Olympics banner. We are excited to say we will use their money from this fundraiser to go shopping at the grocery store. The students have created a grocery list and they will get money to purchase what is on their individual shopping list. Then the next day they are going to make their pizzas. We are also talking about another field trip. Again Thank you for supporting our students!!
P-EBT Benefits
If your student would have qualified for free or reduced lunch during the 2021-22 school year and he or she had a COVID-related absence, you may be eligible for reimbursement for the meals they missed at school during that time. If you are on our list of possible eligible families, you will receive a letter within the next week telling you how to qualify for this reimbursement. The deadline for contacting us to claim this benefit is Wednesday, March 8, 3:15 p.m.
Survey for Parents of Students in our Special Education Program
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education would like for all parents of students in our special education program to complete a survey. The results go directly to DESE, not back to the district. If you have a student in our program, you may complete the survey online here. If you would like a paper copy of the survey, please call the school at (573) 369-2375 ext. 100, or email tspencer@tuscumbialions.k12.mo.us, and we will send you a copy as well as a stamped envelope to mail it directly back to the survey provider. You can complete a survey for each student in your family who receives special education services. The deadline for the survey is March 31, 2023.
We appreciate your input as we make every effort to improve our programs for our students.
