Never Back Down
In the movie "Rudy", Rudy want to go to Notre dame to play football but his family always said that he wasn't smart enough. At school he didn't have very good grades so he wanted to change that. His friend died in a fire and that pushed Rudy even harder to make his dream come true. He got rejected time after time but finally he got accepted. He proved his parents wrong on the last game he would ever play with Notre Dame by being on the field.
In the book The Mostly True Adventures Of Homer P. Figg, Harold was sold into the army illegally because Homer and Harold got into a fight with there Uncle Squint. Homer took his Uncle's old horse in the night to go after his brother. Homer hit some bumps along the way to find Harold. After a long struggle of traveling across different states he finally found Harold. He risked his life to find him by taking a horse and running across a battlefield.
In the book Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark both faced adversities in different and similar ways. They are similar because both Katniss and Peeta had to fight through what the capital was doing to the people of the districts. They worked together to defeat the capital. The way they were different was that Katniss would get angry when she was in trouble or threatened. Peeta would try not to let the adversities bother him. He was more accepting of the situation rather then fight it like Katniss.
In the book Divergent, Tris ended up being divergent and couldn't tell anyone. She had to take many different steps to keep it secret during dauntless training otherwise she would be factionless or most likely killed. Those steps included,
- Not telling anyone
- Not going too slow or too fast in the simulations
- Not going through loopholes in simulations
- Figuring out who can be trusted
- Try to figure out if anyone else is divergent
- If there is another divergent, talk to them about how they have kept their secret
